Lily - Climbing - Yellow
The Yellow Climbing Lily, 'gloriousa lutea', adds a tropical flavor and is best suited for milder areas. This climbing lily produces slightly smaller flowers of golden yellow. Here's a splendid low climber that does well in sun or partial shade. They begin blooming in mid-summer, these strange and exotic looking lily-like flowers are 4 to 5 inches across with wavy-edged petals. Each plant will produce 12 or more lily- like flowers. They can be planted indoors or outdoors. The Yellow Climbing Lily can be used in pots and containers. They are excellent for cut flowers. Geranium - Southcombe Double There are only a few double-geraniums in cultivation and don't look like a Geranium at first glance. Southcombe Double blooms almost non-stop throughout the summer, into fall. Geraniums are grown in almost any soil as long as it is not wet. They do best in sun, but will tolerate some degree of shade. For the most part, cranesbill are long-lived and do not require a lot of care. They are perfect in the perennial border and work well as a ground cover too. This plant would look wonderful in a pot on a sun-drenched porch and is also deer resistant. |
